The Cardinal AI Field Guides are short, task-focused resources built to support your existing workflows. Each guide moves through one task in a handful of steps, provides prompts you can copy and adapt, and reflects Lamar's data classification standard so you know what information belongs in an AI tool before using one. The guides stand alone, so you can begin with whichever one matches the task in front of you.
These guides for Academics address teaching and scholarship: designing AI-responsive assessments, setting expectations with students, and finding where these tools fit inside a discipline.
These guides for Operation address responsible AI use: crafting effective prompts to improve workflow, recognizing what information can be shared, and de-identifying sensitive data.
These guides for Administration address the daily work that runs a university: including drafting communications for different audiences, summarizing reports and meetings, documenting processes, and planning events.
The University Innovation team supports faculty, staff, and students with AI adoption and workflow questions.
Support is available 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
