Student of the Month
Each month during the academic year (September-May), the history department honors one undergraduate history major or minor as the Student of the Month. All previous winners are eligible for the department's Student of the Year award.
Nominations

September 2026
A 2023 graduate of Lumberton High School, Lindsay Tanner serves as vice-president of the History Club and as a history ambassador for the department. She has appeared on the President's List and Dean's List multiple times in her college career. She plans on becoming a high school history teacher.
