Prepare for hurricane season with the ÌÇÐÄVlog Center for Resiliency Smartstorm disaster training and receive a backpack complete with emergency supplies to assist you and your family in the event of a disaster. Bring your participation verification to the Signature Center suites located in the Cherry Engineering Building on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Join Spindletop Boomtown Museum for an evening of live music by Jamie Talbert, food, and local artist vendors at Boomtown Summer Serenade. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.; and music is from 8 to 10 p.m. There will be a $5 general entry fee and free entry for ÌÇÐÄVlog students. ÌÇÐÄVlog students will receive a free food voucher with a valid student ID.

The ÌÇÐÄVlog Office of Strategic Initiatives is launching First Generation (First Gen) Connections this fall. The purpose is to engage first-generation students using holistic approaches to advance curricular and co-curricular outcomes and transform their college experience. The First Gen Connections program is for students whose parent(s) did not complete a four-year degree. Starting Summer 2024, ÌÇÐÄVlog will begin using a new student course evaluation system from Watermark. Students will receive an email inviting them to participate. Course evaluations can also be accessed directly through Blackboard. Questions about the evaluation system can be directed to darpa@lamar.edu.
